got the bus from pefkos to rhodes town, 6 euro one way, the size and history of rhodes blew me away, so much to see and take in on one visit, the only thing in my opinion was there were far too many tourist shops all pritty much selling the same tat, plenty of little place to eat and drink,... More

all the harbour and boats, the historic feel to this town, also good for shopping,because of the new town, also a M&S here very busy, so hold the kids hands if you have any, good places to eat and drink

the history of Rhodes old town and knights of st.john must see "thrones or helios (9 D cinema), but beware there people trying to sell holiday clubs

A 50 min catamaran trip from Marmares and we were in Rhodes. Spent a full day walking around the old town and looking at all the historical sights, did some shopping and eating. Rhodes was very clean and the people were very friendly. Had a walk around the harbour looking at all the yachts, and dreaming. Would definitely recommend this... More

To many wild cats, but town was very interesting. Harbour trips were good value. Local bars very good also

beautifull fort & bay. steeped in history with a lot of original & partially restored architecture. also were the collosos once stood (allegedly)

Taxi in and out for 10 euros each way. Lots to see, harbour, shops palace of grand master, cafés . Watch out though for the Ladies from another culture who bid you good morning, hold out their hand looking like they are being really friendly as they will grab your arm to put a friendship band on as a gift... More

It is a very beautiful old city with a lot of history. Its very interesting to listen to the tour guide. Great for shopping too. Just be warned there is alot of walking and alot of cobbles.

when you walk around the old town it is full of shops and traditional taverna's. if you walk upto the old town beware of the african ladies, dont shake their hands as they tie string around your wrists, with 3 beads on and try to charge you 30euro's. just say no and walk past them.
