Being a mountain country, Bulgaria is rich of beautiful caves but this one is really something to see.The sheer enormity of the cave spaces is compelling. It is a stunning place, reminding how transient our daily life is. I would recommend it as a wonder of nature - well preserved and awesome to experience.

The Devetashka Cave in Lovech was very easy to get to, with a good road and ample parking space. I'm not sure if it would be easy if you were using public transportation, though! We drove here to explore the cave, learn about the different species of bats found in Bulgaria, and to enjoy a nice, easy walk in a... More

This is a magic place. Must see if you are around . Is easy to reach, free of charge. You can find info on the spot - sizes, history, flora & fauna. Also try to climb above the hill and enjoy the birds ;)

We saw this cave during a tour in Bulgaria. This was one of the biggest experiences. The cave is huge and very spectacular. I had never seen anything like that before. I can recommend.

I love this cave. Norwegian project made road to it and now it is open for public, previously it was military territory. It is vast space and so amazing that i spent hours there, like you connect to other universes there. Light naturally comes inside and any part of the day gives you new scenery to see and adore. Just... More

I cant really remember how I found out about this cave, but it was on my list for a long time. When I finally planned a roadtrip in Bulgaria I knew I had to visit it. And I wasnt disappointed. I loved it!! This is not your tipical cave, when you go underground, and its dark and humid. No. This... More

Inside are situated "The eyes of God" I think was called. If You look up to where the ceiling is supposed to be,You will see that there is a distinct form of a helmet (that is what it reminds me of) and 2 giant holes for eyes. + as an added bonus, there is a neolithic village remnants inside. If You want... More

Well, how do you describe something that is indescribable. I thought that this would be hey humble and difficult cave two enter. Not hard to get there. Approximate 20 minutes Northeast of Lovech. There are signs on the right Brown with white print which are close to the entrance. One outstanding Marker is a 60 foot thin chimney on the... More

A part of the movie "The expendables 2" is shot in that cave. Thanks to the filming crew there is a bridge which makes the acces easier. The entrance is 3 BGN for adults. It is a great place for family tours.
