Amazing outlook

The climb to the summit is not too strange and the panoramic view is breathless. Additionally you pass an amazing waterfall.

This hike takes about 2,5-3hrs and leads you through a wonderful scenery. There are some waterfalls, impressively big trees and once you're on top of the "sleeping indian" the view is breathe taking. I can honestly say that the sleeping Indian has been one of the most beautiful hikes I have done in all of panama. Ask in town for... More

I enjoyed the walk up to the Sleeping Indian Girl despite the cloudy day. On a bright day the view over the former crater area should be great...I recommended the staff at the entrance to raise awareness for tourists not to litter the path...and to place bins every km on the way...more care is needed.

This is my favorite hike of 3 most popular climbs in El Valle. The first stop on the trial is the Piedra Pintada, pre-Colombian petroglyphs. From there it is about a 15 minute climb of moderate difficulty to the first of three levels of beautiful water falls. After that the climb is much steeper to get to her nose and... More

We loved the walk to the sleep-ins Indian. On the way to the top you pass waterfalls in which you can swim. If there had been rain, be aware of the tact that it can be slippery. The view on top is beautiful and worth the walk. It took us, a family of 4 around 90 min to climb the... More

This is an amazingly beautiful hike especially if you go the free way which takes you straight up to La India Dormida and then down through the jungle, past some wateralls and finally to La Piedra Pintada.

The Sleeping Indian Girl, or La India Dormida, sits high above the valley...easily seen from Calle Principal or the Main Street of El Valle de Anton. Her hair, in the form of trees and shrubs, sweeps down the side of the mountain. If you care to, there are 2-3 trails if you want to climb up and hike across the... More

Incredibly steep, at times the path wasn't marked at all with various forks or options. Our hotel directed us to walk down from the parking lot and then approach the mountain from the "head" of the sleeping girl. That was fine if not a bit strenuous - until we had to get from the head to the torso and back... More
