This zoo is supposed to be a "clinic" for animals but does have a lot of animals from all over the world. They all are living in very bad condition with very small fences and not really clean... We did not pay a lot but got regrets to have them money. There is definitely better activities in El Valle !

This isn't like traveling to a zoo in the USA, but it has some really interesting animals. Definitely buy the back of corn when you pay for your tickets. Most all of the animals like them and get excited when you give them food. Even the pigs! The monkeys are adorable and don't want to be left out, but they... More

Lots of different animals native to south and Central America. Good way to spend a few hours. Grounds are beautiful with lots of fauna.

By US standards the animals are not well cared for. But still moderately interesting. Place is larger than you would expect with a wide variety of animals

I really like this cheeky little zoo. It doesn't blow your mind from the outside but you need to give it a little time to charm you. It has an interesting collection of animal/ plant species and some huge parrot cages :) There are some excellent photo opportunities and even the chance to see the very rare golden tree frogs.... For a low entry fee of $5 for foreigners, you get to spend the day on a great property backing into the mountains. There are lots of birds and animals, allegedly saved or confiscated exotic animals, unfortunately kept in inappropriately small cages and enclosures, which makes it for a sad experience. They seem to be well fed but most of... More

I am not a zoo person but we wanted to see the golden frogs. It did indeed have a good frog display. I was surprised at the size of the park. I expected it to be much smaller. $5 entry fee. Animals in cages and a few animals had sores on them. The monkeys were interesting to watch. Very old... More

This zoo would generally be nice, because you get to see almost all the species of animals founding this part of the world. Unfortunatelly though, the cages are small and without any love and most of the animals are kept in very bad conditions, which makes the visit overall a sad experience.

The grounds of the zoo are very nice and it's a nice walk. We enjoyed the frogs and birds the most. There's a large collection of beautiful birds. They also allow you to feed some of the animals. I didn't think the housing for the cats was good for them so that part was a bit sad.
