The location is great

Even though the animal are in cage, the place where the zoo is situated is wonderful. They also have a frog's room which is really nice. Kids always enjoy this places.

The zoo was fantastic! It looked very nice and the way it was set-up it never felt crowded. Perfect for taking children and enjoying beautiful views around. Its very laid back and the zoo is more open then seeing caged up animals.

this is a great place to take the kids for nice afternoon. They had lots of local animals including the famous Golden Frogs which are in a special section.

The property itself is great a lot of beautiful plants, but the conditions for the animals are just poor. Big birds in dirty and tiny cages. I was shocked that something as pittyfull as this can be allowed here.

El Nispero Zoo was a lovely day trip for the family. We have a 6 y/o and a 1 y/o. The zoo is very shaded which is nice for hot Panamanian days! They have ducks, pheasants, chickens, jaguars, monkeys, birds, pigs, turtles, sheep, crocodiles and many more. The enclosures aren't double fenced which makes it able to get closer to... More

I spent most of my time capturing the beautiful grounds. I only saw one worker feeding the frogs...no where else. The cages were dirty. The Leopards seemed out-of-place. I had the impression that this was NOT a professionally run zoo, either private or public.

It is a perfect place for families with children and teens where you can sightseeing a large amount of fauna and also enjoy the nice weather. You got to have comfortable shoes and clothes to go around the place which is kind of large. Have enough water .

We have visited zoos all over the world. This was the most disgusting, horrible, inhumane zoo we have ever seen. This place should be shut down and the owners thrown in jail. Every animal was in a tiny cage, some had barely any room to move. The leopards we so stressed that it was devastating to see them. Most animals... More

Definitely allow yourself at least 2 or three hours to see it all. It's advisable to take a taxi from town unless you're up for a rather long walk. During the rainy season it's best to start outdoor activities in the morning since rain usually happens in the afternoon.

Although this zoo features many animals, I would have much preferred to see fewer animals with more space. When you consider that big cats have territories that spread over miles, it is incredibly sad to see them in a space smaller than my own bedroom. The birds and monkeys also did not have enough space or equipment to keep them... More
