Went out for 6 hour offshore trip with twin engine boat. The son is determined to catch fish however lacks the focus of customer service. We were to launch at 6:15 AM and received a call late the day before changing to 7:15 AM. The family up early and ready to go so we wait an additional one hour 15... More

We did a morning trip and an evening trip. I was very excited to hook into a rooster fish and they did not disappoint. We had a double header of 35-40lb roosters on. Got a number of other fish but the roosters were the star of this show. Truly an amazing experience. Second trip we got on a school of... More

We were a group of four (3 adults and one 11-year old child) who took a sunset fishing trip of about 3 hours with Martin, Pablo and Alex. They split us up so that 3 of us went with a guide in tandem kayaks and one went solo. I was with Martin and he was very talkative, explaining what the... More

Fishing in this area is an awesome experience. There are several guide services that you can hire. Sport fishing or trolling around the island off the coast, both a great time.

The Mal Pais fishing village is located at the southern end of the Mal Pais area, next to Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve. Local fishermen keep their boats there, and it is the home base for Spike Sport Fishing. Spike's a family run operation, and their fishing "fleet" consists of a couple of small panga style boats and a larger two-engine... More

It's trolling after a boat. I know how to do it but the fisherman that took us out didn't give us (the rest that have never done ut before) any instructions at all (or talked/could talk to us at all). Basically a quite jumpy 3 hour boat trip with no fish. Paid $60 per hour and person. Not worth it.... More

Fished with Martin and Pablo of Sea Kayak adventures with my son. They were very helpful and we enjoyed their two man kayak approach. Great value, very friendly and fun. Caught fish every day although missed a bunch of big ones but that's fishing.

Some people in our group decided to go fishing. During their trip, they saw dolphins, sea turtles and they even caught a 16 lb mahi mahi which we had for lunch and dinner. Fantastic!

I dont know where else in the world you can do deep sea fishing with a knowledgeable local for $35 a person. Not only that, but they will fillet and clean any fish you catch and send you on your way. A must do. Not for those who get sea sick though.

We went fishing in Mal Pias , went about 5 miles out. Trolling we caught 22 tuna, 12 red snapper. We watched whales and dolphin. The weather was perfect.
