This beach is completely worth the bumpy trip! The laid back vibes and excellent surf is great! Lots of good food too! I liked that there were not any people hassling you on the beach to buy things and the beach is not crowded. We didnt really see much garbage and everyone is friendly. It's connected to Playa Carmen and,... More

The title says it all. There's nowhere else in the world I'd rather be. Beautiful stretch of beach, friendly people, and lots of sunshine. I'll be back every chance I can.

Beautiful surfer beach, day and night. Every night all gather for sunset enjoying spontaneous bonfires and music. The Pacific ocean is unbelievably warm, great for playing in the waves.

This is one of the prettiest beaches I've been to. Wide beach, very fine soft sand to walk in and you can walk a very long way in both directions. Fun to watch all the surfers too. Lots of surfing lessons available if you want to try it yourself.

This end of the beach seems to attract more of the advanced surfers as the waves on most days are bigger.

We learned to surf and did a lot of beach walks - dined on the beach too. Lots of spots to find a quick or leisurely meal, watch the surfers tackle the waves, hang out and catch some sun.

Huge beautiful beach with waves to play in safely. We watched surfers and amazing sunsets every day, walked for miles and sat for hours. Great cocktails and music at beachfront restaurants, too!

Beautiful Beach but not a great place to swim. Tons of places to eat and tonnes of surfer gringos. Yoga and the hipster style of life seems to be the norm here with plenty of tribal tattoos and man buns. We had an OK time but it definitely is young, loud and a bit pretentious.

There's some sick waves here and the beach is nice and deserted around this time. It's an amazing place to hang out on the beach (make sure you don't fall asleep when the tide is coming in!) and surf! You can also snag great pictures of the sun setting on the ocean. Must see!

Absolutely gorgeous beach. So why a 2? I would argue it is the most remote beach anywhere in Costa Rica from a driving perspective. Town is saturated with mainly those aged 20-35 who are here to surf and ATV all over town. There are no paved roads, resulting in this being the dustiest place in Costa Rica. With no paved... More
