spectacular especially if you drive up to the visitor center or up to the ski area, it can be seen several different places

Expensive, but well worth it. Just the pilot and we two. We each had a window seat in our little fixed wing plane. Took some amazing photos.

We were lucky enough to hit the mountain on a weekend of perfect weather. Fantastic play ground for young and old.

I visited the Mountain in March, and there were still patches of snow about, but no general overall snow cover.

Happy Valley beginners area opened on the 3rd June. Further facilities are all snow dependant. Keep an eye on the mtruapehu website for further details and updates. Thanks The Mt Ruapehu Team
