Campervan self contained here overnight. Restful and relatively quiet. Dirty bathrooms. Natural bridge walk during the daytime was great and the fossil shells were interesting and easy to see. Went back at night for the glow worms and wow. It was neat to see them....More

After doing a very disappointing and over-priced tour at the Waitomo Caves, our hotel staff recommended we go to the Mangapohue Natural Bridge Walk instead as it is far better. So we did, and boy are we glad! We arrived at around 7pm (during spring)...More

This one through limestone caves is quite interesting one . Area is a bit slippery, so wear shoes with good trip and take care while walking. You can use handrails provided

Take the time to do the full loop, don’t just go to the bridge and back. Look closely on the ravine wall you will find glow worm strings. Was shorter than 1hr

My husband and I loved the caves. We did the Black Labyrinth tour, our tour guides were wonderful and enjoyed the hot soup after the tour.

Takes about twenty minutes to drive on a windy road from the Main caves at Waitomo. About 25 Kilometers. Plenty of room to park your car. Great picnic area with tables and toilet near entrance to walk. Can be a bit wet and maybe slippery...More

We paired this up with our Marokopa Falls trip, please read my other review for road conditions and timings. The walk is mild, quite narrow in most places- not recommended to bring a pram if you would like to take the stairs to the top...More

Worth a look but DO NOT do the round trip walk. It's very wet and rough with Stiles to clamber over. Go back the way you came.

This walk takes you into the natural bridge, which is nice enough by itself, but then descends over a fence style into some rolling farmland with jutting rocks and sweet little fantail birds darting around the grass before curving back to the carpark. It packs...More

While Waitomo is world famous for its Cave Tours, this natural bridge hidden in the far west of the Caves is a real gem that is worth a visit. Unbelievably vast, 17m high limestone arch bridge together with various features of a typical limestone landscape....More

We spent over an hour there, but the walk each way is an easy 10 - 15 minutes. It's absolutely worth it for the bridge itself and the beautiful canyon on the way.

It was an easy walk with many photo stops along the way. Maybe 15-20 minutes each way. An easy, enjoyable walk at your own pace. Well worth the effort. So beautiful!
