We did this tour a part of a combo with the glow worm caves. Our guide was great and none of it was rushed. Being able to take photos was a bonus as you aren't allowed to in the glow worm cave. Just no flash....More

We were told this was the best of the 3 caves and absolutely agree! The whole family loved them! From the glow worms, the amazing spiral entrance and the river, the whole tour was completely amazing!

Hi Meiz, my question is why two nights in Matamata? Doing that drive, both caves and Hobbiton is possible in a day, but it will be a big day and I wouldn't recommend it with kids. I suggest staying in Waitomo or between... More

Theyre not very narrow. You dont have to stoop much. Im Elderly and had no problem even though im slso asthmatic
