I only came across this park a few years ago when I drove past it during the course of my work and couldn't believe that I hadn't discovered this beautiful park years ago. It is a green oasis which has a gorgeous lake and is situated in a built-up suburb. It is well worth the trip from wherever you live... More

10 out of 10 Belmont for such a beautiful relaxing place, after a slow walk around the lake I could feel myself starting to breath and relax. There's a lovely little café with good inexpensive food and drink. Clean modern toilets. What a great find. We came from 40 minutes north of the river, but we will be returning.

Beautiful spot for a relaxing day with family and friends. A playground for the children to enjoy and of course lots of walking trails with the centre point, the beautiful lake which abounds with birdlife. Unfortunately the Kiosk was not open on the day we visited.

My wife and I go here most days to walk our dog and enjoy the peaceful bird life. The park is well maintained with plenty of seating and shade. The lakes are peaceful with lots of birdlife, that is very comfortable around people. There are board walks, gazebos, picnic and BBQ areas with gas stainless steel plates and modern toilets.... This is one of my most favorite places, as well as where I grew up. This was once a muddy swamp, 50 years ago, then the local residents cleaned it up, then the council stepped up and have turned this into a really beautiful place for picnics, walks and for children to play.

Tomato Lake is our local playground for excercise and relaxation. The lake has a cafe serving breakfast and lunch. It is about 1.6km, or 1 mile around, so perfect for jogging/walking, even rollerblading, if that is your thing. Lots of grassy areas and a bridge and pergola over the lake. There are wooded areas at the back and it is... More
