My daughter forked out an enormous amount of money for a Christmas present mother daughter spa day 568$/pp. package was stating, massage, brunch, facial and pedicure.
We had a wonderful time and our services were impeccable. We wanted to start a new tradition to do this once a year. My disappointment stands at an extra 100$ charge she received a few days later stating it was for lunch! My daughter called and they said they hadn’t charged it in the package cost in case we didn’t want it!!? Who spends money for a full spa day package and would decide not to eat. Why wouldn’t this information be clear beforehand. Knowing this charge was not included would have definitely made us rethink our spa location.
This definitely put a damper on my thoughts towards this facility.

My coworkers and I spent the day here and it was FANTASTIC! Such great service!

I personal recommend my girl, Towanda!! She did a mud wrap for me but I think she provides other services. She was THE BEST EVER! If you are looking for someone to make you feel at home and get the full relaxation you need... she's your girl! 10/10 Recommend!

We had a lovely stay in the 1BR villa which is well equipped & a stunning outlook.
The day spa is fabulous but the gym has no towels or water provided which is very disappoint for a resort of this standard. Legends restaurant lacked ambience, no music, bright lights, no tablecloths. More like cafe dining. The food was good. Breakfast was a very standard buffet, nothing outstanding. Overall a nice quiet place to stay.

Excellent deep tissue massage with Derrick. I’ve had massages all over the world and this ranked as one of the top ones. From the moment I walked into the spa I felt pampered and cared for. Loves the smells and music. And although there were a lot of people there it never felt cramped. Plenty of room for relaxing and visiting with my friend. Lunch at the spa restaurant was delicious. Highly recommend the entire experience.

I recently had the Milk and Honey Ritual, Body Therapy Massage. I can not praise the staff and the treatment enough. From the moment I walked into the foyer of the Hotel to my departure the whole experience was amazing. My skin felt awesome for days. Be sure to ask for Charlie.

A friend and I booked in for an afternoon of pampering. We Booked two Swedish Massages, I really wasn't impressed when the massage table rocked two and frow with every brush stroke of the massage, after five minutes of putting up with this I ask the young girl why was this table rocking? She replied with this sometimes happens. I asked to be moved to another room as I certainly could not of put up with this for a whole hour. The young girls mannerism soon changed and did not want to accomodate my request in any way. I was left for 10 minutes before she came back to take me to another room.
It was really hard to relax and enjoy the experience after this, I left feeling really dissatisfied.

I decided to treat myself to a Vichy treatment at Chateau Elan, specifically the nourishing sea mud therapy which promises "a unique and exotic treatment that combines the detoxifying and cleansing capabilities or earth clays with the intensely moisturising power of natural oils".

I was collected for my massage 15 minutes after I was booked in. I was led to a room and asked if I had had a Vichy shower treatment before (yes) or been to Chateau Elan before (no). I was then directed onto the bed - with no explanation of what I was going to experience during the treatment, no questions about whether my skin was dry or oily, whether I had any pain or injuries, nothing.

I have been to many spas where they give you a choice of scents to enjoy as part of your treatment, eg. bergamot & orange, vanilla spice, earl grey & rose. These would be blended into the products used or simply burning in the room. Unfortunately there was no scent apparent in the room or products at all, which I would say is one of the most important of the five senses to highlight during a spa treatment.

The mud mask had a cooling effect on the skin which wasn't terribly enjoyable on a winter's day. It would have been nice if the room or towels were heated to counter this. After that it was time for the Vichy shower, the thing I had been most looking forward to. The taps turned on and the water was FREEZING. The lady warned me this would be the case (after it had started) but for at least a minute I had cold water poured all over me. Relaxing much? I was given a very light massage as the mud was washed off me. I was then directed onto a 2nd bed that had clean dry towels to begin the moisturising part of the treatment. But what I found confusing was that I still had areas of mud all over me, especially my tummy and under my nails. Surely this should have been removed before the moisturising application began? Not here. A surprisingly light moisturiser was applied all over and then apparently I was done. Despite seeing how much mud I had put on the clean towels of the 2nd bed and was still left on my body.

A real disappointment and certainly not worth the high price they charge for this "unique and exotic treatment". Next time I'll exfoliate in the shower and put QV moisturiser on, and save myself a lot of money.

The Spa at Chateau Elan came across as a low-budget-5-star-spa. While the staff were very pleasant and friendly, I was not given adequate instructions or explanations for what was available when I arrived. I was taken to a room fitted out with laminated tables, an obviously fake orchid in a pot, an uncomfortable lounge and plastic “glasses” to drink very nice water flavored with fruit.

The gowns and towels felt threadbare and thin, and not at all plush as expected in what I was led to believe was a 5-star spa. The towel used to cover me while on the table could cover either my feet, or my shoulders, not both. I am tall … but still!

The body scrub was cold - terrible shocks to my body in a room that was too cold; apparently there was an problem with the air-con. A warm reprieve was, thankfully, my shower after the body scrub … I could have stayed in there forever! Alas … the cold oil slapped on my body for my massage cooled me to shivering again pretty quickly.

A fire safety check, complete with siren tests through a speaker directly over the bed I was lying on, was held in the middle of what was meant to be a pampering spa treatment. The treatment rooms had cheap-looking laminated cabinets that did not add to the ambience. I felt the spa had a rather masculine feel … I am used to spas that are more feminine - plush, soft, inviting and … warm.

After my treatment I was taken back to the original room, fake orchid and all, and found a couple reclining on couches, and in the spa a portly near naked man … certainly more than I had bargained for. While I knew the spa was geared for couples, as a woman on her own I would have preferred a women only room to relax in.

I left as soon as I could to get warm in my own unit in the nearby resort.

The staff are very friendly however we had a confirmed appointment for 9am and got there to be advised that they had taken someone else snd we would have to come back at 10am! Not very happy. So we went in to the spa ‘pool’ for 25 mins and then when holding the handle to get out of the spa the handle came out of the wall! Extremely dangerous! When we finally had the appointment the girls were very helpful and friendly .

I had recently hurt my back and shoulder and went for a 55 minute thereauputic massage. My therapist did a great job of relieving me of trigger points that were causing pain. Lovely spa facility and well appointed.
