One of the best beaches for snorkeling, and one of my favorites in Fernando de Noronha. I didn't expect much but it really surprised me!

We wanted to see sea turtles and we went to a boat trip and besides seeing dolphins we saw turtles, so we decided to stay at the porto beach area and we ended up seeing more than 10 turtles that day, what made as to come back to swim and snorkling with the sea turtles again! Beautiful!

although it might not be the most beautiful landscape (it is a port) the ocean flora is great. I went there on my first day at 6 am and the water was cristal clear and full of life. There might be small sharks there, but they run away as soon as you enter the water so don't freak out.

My Marie said it's in the port, we went there three times!!!! Easy access by bus, quiet port, but, has more turtles than we saw anywhere, and tonnes of fish, a tidal pool you can swim in at low tide. Best time to go is to go at high tide as visibility is better, low tide for the tidal pool,... More

Although the port is not the best beach in Noronha for me being an avid fisherman & my two young sons as well this beach was great. We spent our first day there snorkeling & speaking to the local fishermen Which allowed us to arrange one of the best fishing trips ever. We caught 3 Sailfish & 1 Wahoo all... More

The beach adjoining the harbor now has good visitor services e.g. chairs and parasols, stand-up paddle board rental and two shore diving operators which easily take you scuba diving around the harbor wrecks, where marine wildlife is amazingly abundant. Relax there during the day eating and drinking at the local "barracas" and before sunset climb the hill to Mergulhão Restaurant... More

At the "porto" people take their attention for the beach but the real value at "porto" is in scuba diving. Take your mask and snooker and go left. You will see so much live and turtles, stingrays, small sharks...do it. There are many kinds of fishes with different colors. Dont be scared by the small ships, they have their own... More

One of the few beaches in Fernando de Noronha you can get to without renting a beach buggy or hiring a tour. It is not too impressive, but the waters are clean and peaceful to go swimming or practice water sports. There are also several restaurants on the beach and nearby where you can have a snack.
