We were scared to go swimming so we stayed in the beach. If you go to the total left of the beach though you are able to see small sharks very very close because it's their 'nursery'. You can even see them from outside the water but try to go when the tied is completely low.

In february the conditions were not the best, lots of waves. August to October should be a better time for snorkeling.

To get to the beach you first must climb down 2 metal ladder through narrow opening in the rock face. Then steps. It is not for the faint of heart. When you are on the beach it truly is one of the best in the world. We missed the beach as soon as we climbed the last step off the... More

Water is not crystal clear because of the seaweeds; however, that's what makes loads of green turtles to be around. If you snorkell by the very right end of the bay the water gets much clearer and the chances for other marine life encounter increases. We saw many turtles, some nice fishes and a reef shark.

At first sight this beach kind of let you down, but when you go around snorkeling here and there, I started to enjoy it, but when we went into the cordoned area and further into the bay...the surprise, swiming with huge turtles, about my size. The fish schools of several colors, electric blue, yellow, moreia, small sharks! It is like... More

Of all the beaches in Noronha. Waters were murky both times we visited but we still manage to see sharks and turtles... Only beach on the island with traces of trash.

This beach is really great to go diving, we even saw baby sharks in the shore. It is great for seeing turtles. One piece of advice, if you go with small children, hire a guide and they will take the children while you dive! The sea is quite rough on certain days, make sure you go on a clear day... More

The beach is easy to reach by public bus. Rental shop for snorkeling gear right at the bus stop, beach a few steps further. And then: enter the aquarium, lots of fish, everywhere you look. But above all: turtles swimming around, birds diving in the water to catch sardines right under your eyes, and sharks (lemon sharks, nurse sharks) cruising... More
