We visited about two hours before sunset as pair of visiting Sancho within the reserve. The cliffs surrounding the bar are dramatic. The wave action below was a sho in itself. The variety of blue hues was impressive. On top of that the spinner dolphins pit on a show for us. Definitely take the trail that follows the rim from... More

Definitely head down for six am, we stuck around till around eight am and got to see a few hundred dolphins jumping and spinning around. They're hard to spot at first but once they're pointed out to you by the guys on the overlook you'll know what you're looking for. They're best viewed through the binoculars (provided) but as they... It is advertised that you will probably see dolphins. This is not true. We were told buy the researchers there that its quite rare to watch them. Nonetheless, the view is great, makes it a good trail.

Trovao dos Mares should go slower when sailing through the bay. They go too fast on the way back and you can barely enjoy the ride with the dolphins.

If you want to see hundreds of dolfins at once, early in the morning, this is the place. You are on an overlook tho so you will not seem them up close but they do provide binoculors.

Nice beach to pay a visit, but not to spend all day there, it's small. You can visit there walking from Cacimba do Padre beach.

We visited the site 5 times during our 7 day visit. There was an ocean surge for many of these days so the Dolphins did not show up. On one day all was Ok in the ocean and they showed up. 270+. What a site to behold. A must see. Local personnel that study the Dolphins were very informative.

let me state that the Island of Noronha Is a nature-lover's and beach lover's paradise and although expensive, is a lifetime experience. our expeirnece with Baia dos Golfinhos was not as wished. we went TWICE to try to see the famous dolphin passage, and this (supposedely) happens every morning at around 7 am. so, first time we went (latish), at...
