Truly enjoyed. Small store next to museum is free but the museum is not. There... More

This wonderful air conditioned cultural center is right on the main square. It has a display of artisan goods from all over Mexico as well as very fine pieces from the region. The shop has excellent items for purchase. I highly recommend visiting this center while in Izamal.

We loved this museum so well laid out, lit, with the artifacts displayed for close inspection and with explanations in English. Cost 25 pesos to get in and worth every centavo.

The art in this museum was very representative of the Yucatan. We throughly enjoyed our tour through their interesting and small rooms. The gift shops at the end were excellent and well priced.

It is a nice place close to a piramid. They offer a very nice variety of hancrafts. Maybe they are a little more expensive than other places but i the presentation and the quality is better .
