A captain father and his apprentice son, take you on a 2.5 hours tour of the area birds and seals they know well. They are knowledgeable and excited to share what they know and you can't tell they are doing it 2 or 3 times a day. We chose to do this tour instead of going whale watching and were... More

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. We saw puffins, seals, bald eagles, and many other birds. The owners were very knowledgeable and kind. We had run out of gas and they let us buy a few of liters off of them till we made it into town.

A great little tour for bird lovers - or seal lovers for that matter. We saw innumerable puffins, as well as many other birds, including some unexpected ones. Counted 35 bald eagles on our particular trip, although they often see more than that. Hundreds of gray seals. The captain was knowledgeable about the wildlife and the environmental factors affecting their... More

We booked this tour last minute because the forecast was calling for rain and cancelled our plans. I've never been so glad it rained! We had a wonderful tour. The captain and his son were very informative and it wasn't over the top cheesy like tours we've done in the bigger tourist destinations. We were too late in the season... More

We arrived at the end of the season for puffins, but we did see a couple. The father and son team who own and operate the tour boat were excellent at spotting and describing the numerous local sea birds. Very entertaining stories and histories. It was a bit windy, and it was clear the operators took care to make the... More

Stopped in to check out the tour without reservations. We were about 20 minutes away from the next departure so we decided to change our plans and take in the tour. As it happened, a large group had failed to show up so it was two couples only. We steamed out to the islands, with lots of narration about the... More

A sea bird outing was in the cards for this trip to the Martimes, and we were not disappointed! The 3.5 hour outing we took on the morning of August 1st was chocka block full of gullemots, gulls, bald eagles, cormorants including the less common great comorant [a lifer] as advertised, but also included some Ruddy turnstones, sandpipers and great... We came to see birds and we did!! Unfortunately, most of the puffins had left but we saw many grey seals and a dozen or more bald eagles!! We also learned about a rather primitive bird called a cormorant and saw many. The boat is family owned and the guides throw their hearts and souls into it!!!☺

This was a last minute excursion for us. We were a little nervous about it as one of my daughters does not like boats. The captain and his son put my daughter at ease immediately upon getting on the boat. They were very informative about the birds and animals in the area and did their very best to ensure that... We were very concerned that we would not be departing on this tour because of bad weather. We heard of other operators cancelling there tours quite early. As we only had this one opportunity we were so happy when we arrived. The sky had cleared and the captain was willing to take his only 4 guests to Bird Island. Captain... More
