Rum Tasting Bar

Self guided tour but, great little rum tasting bar. If I recall correctly, $10 US, and we tasted 6 different rums. You can buy some bottles on your way out too.

Be warned:- the distillery is not easy to find as there are no signs whatsoever. When you get to the end of the road down to it just park up and look to your left to find the entrance. There is no charge and you can walk around on your own. It's all very high tech and there are not... More

I love rum and wanted to visit a distillery while we were in Barbados. I had read all about Mt. Gay and realized that it was very touristy especially on days when cruise ships were in port. Then we heard about Foursquare. We have been to many distilleries before so the fact that it's a self guided tour didn't bother... More

If you want a very "local" tour of a rum distillery and not an organized commercial one, this is the place to go. You walk along yellow footprints on the floor and read about the rum as you go. Then you can go to another building just across from it and do a rum tasting of a number of different... More

There are three main producers of rum- and each is worth a visit. Four squares stands out for allowing you to wander (within safe limits). The shop at the end is franchised. friendly and welcoming and of course rum tasting. You will find that the local supermarket sell at near(less than) the price of the shop at the factory, a... More

This distillery is set in lovely countryside in St Philip parish. The park area surrounds the site and is beautifully kept with lots of colourful flowers. Most unexpected! The tour is self led (just follow the yellow foot prints on the floor). The best bit was the tasting. The lady at the bar was so charming and friendly. We tasted 9 rums... More

Really enjoyed this tour & tasting the best of the 2 we did while in Barbados. The rum here was better. Bought a bottle of their rum cream.

Foursquare Distillery offers a self-guiding tour. The process of rum making is described in the large front room and then you follow the yellow footsteps to see the rest of this working distillery. Most impressed by all of the rum that was aging in barrels. The rum tasting is offered in the cafe/gift shop which is run independently of the... More

The distillery is open for people to visit, following a self-guided tour. The tour is well written and holds your interest throughout although I question if you follow the arrows or your nose through from molasses to distilled rum in the cafe after. The staff in the cafe who do the tasting are brilliant, very knowledgeable and witty, all making... More

We have gone to the Mount Gay Rum tour and this is far better. Not only is the distillery in a beautiful park-like setting, the tour is self guided which means you can go at your own speed. The highlights are the museum which gives a great history of Barbados, and the tasting room where you can buy the rum... More
