What a great little railway to visit, all the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The railway is very interactive and informative with the children. The railway isn’t very long and includes a museum, miniature railway and drive a locomotive too. Well worth a visit,...More

This is a lovely short railway, where a round trip takes about 50 minutes, including 20 mins at a 'museum' stop (lots of kids activities here) and 5 minutes is taken up with the engine being reversed at the other end. If you wish you...More

This is a brilliant place for young children to experience the joys of trains, with plenty to interest older children and adults as well. The staff are just lovely. The cafe serves delicious food of all kinds at modest prices. And you can stay all...More

This was a lovely (short) day out. It's a little trip into the countryside where they then move the engine from one end of the train to the other to go back again. On the way back you stop at the museum for about 30-40...More

We have visited the area many times, but had never really realised there was a difference between this and the larger Ffestiniog railway. This one is quicker, cheaper, and perfectly suited to young children. Our 1 and 4 year olds had a lovely time, and...More

Visited a couple of days ago while on holiday in the area. What a gem! I was only vaguely aware of the existence of this railway, which is clearly overshadowed in marketing and sheer scale by its neighbours the Ffestiniog and the Welsh Highland (to...More

We had a wonderful time. My son and daughter got to operate the points and the conductor Mark was really informative and patient with them. Loved the miniature railway and the engine shed. I learnt things as well as the children. Highly recommend a visit
