Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Found some rough directions online to get to the car park and visitors centre. Take the road from Artà towards the National Parc, Ermita de Betlem Road (MA3333) follow the road down about 5k and you’ll see signs to turn right for parking and visitors centre. I put Ermita de Betlem in the satnav and except for the right turn to the car park, it took us to pretty much exactly the right place.
There is free parking and a small visitors centre that has free maps of the walking routes. I believe it also had toilets but I didn’t see them personally.
We followed route 3 which mainly followed the small rangers road within the park, it was a gentle incline nothing too difficult. The map said this route would take about 90mins which is did.
The route we took was very exposed to the sun with little shade so best to avoid the midday. There is also no water, toilet or food places in the park that I saw so take your own previsions and lots of water.
The park has great views and was very quiet, definitely worth a visit if your in the area.

My wife and I - we're both in our late 60s - loved hiking two times in the Parc Natural: once up to the Betlem Ermitage from the Betlem side, and once from the main parking lot about 7 km from Arta, where we were staying at the first-rate Hotel Forn Nou.

We were both ready to experience some nature after two weeks in cities (Paris and Barcelona) and were not disappointed. There are many routes to choose from as a previous reviewer has anicely described. At the parking lot, there are good descriptions of the trail networks describing their level of difficultly and time required.

In early November, the weather was warm, perfect hiking conditions and only a few other hikers and cyclists crossing paths. Wear decent walking shoes - you don't necessarily need hiking boots, hiking poles are good for inclines - and bring water and snacks for the longer treks. This is a wonderful natural resource, well maintained, with an intriguing balance of human culture and natural beauty. One of Arta's - and Mallorca's - hidden treasures.

The weather was not great but the area is beautiful and rough. The is something for everybody. Simple easy paths but also more difficult paths. The ways are well sign posted. There is refuge that you can use when ordered and the rangers will bring the food and equipment to the refuge so that you can stay in the Parc for one or two days

We turned up today having done some research on TA.

The visitor centre was closed (staff shortage) a kindly lady gave us a basic map and a rather less kind man told us they were closed and to go away.

Meanwhile the park staff buzzed around in land rovers apparently doing nothing, but hey! It's a job.

The vending machine looks like it's been broken all this century and it's as close to refreshments as you'll find.

The loos are clean though.

So we went for a short walk (reasonably waymarked) and left.

Oh and the restaurant you drive past with the sign 'Open from 12:30'? Closed at 13:00!

So, frankly hopeless organisation, you'd have to assume it's run by amateurs, but given the money that's obviously been spent I suspect not.

Hence two stars - poor for a high season tourist attraction by any measure!

The parque is reached through Arta on Ma 3323 with an ample free car park with small visitor centre and toilets. A wide selection of walks is available with my wife and I taking the old estate road out to Cap Farrutx where the modern communication station provides your end point and stunning views back across Badia Alcudia. This walk is a 3 hour round trip with a gentle incline. For the more experienced walker other routes exist. The parque was quiet in September with excellent views all the way. Good terrain for mountain biking and birds of prey spotting,

On exiting the parque take the road to the Beltem church and park up at the top of the hill to take the view again towards Port Alcudia. The church is pleasant. Take care back driving back through Arta, Another beautiful village not suited too large 4x4s.

Enjoy

If you are a keen walker, then this area is fantastic. There are so many walks, from 20 minute scrambles up to a prehistoric site, to all-day circular challenges. The coastal walks are sublime (although I imagine they would not be as enjoyable in high-season when the sunbathers crowd the beaches). Some of the walks are covered in the usual walking guides (Rother etc.), but others are only shown in the leaflets you can get from tourist information and the actual information centre inside the park. The area is very popular with local mountain bikers - and I can see why - the routes are amazing.

A medium intensity hike (eg route 3, approx 10km) will already take you to amazing views (Mallorca’s east coast, distant Menorca, and, depending on the route, Mallorca’s North-West coast). Parking: road from Artà to Ermita de Betlem until you see signs of the Parc (then simply follow the signs).

Parking just outside Bethlem might be not so easy in high season so get there early. This is a relatively easy walk with glorious views of the coast all the way

As we are pretty old only we wanted to do a short walk. The very helpful man in the park office recommended a glorious walk to us. The scenery was great as were the inquisitive cows en route!
