Unique Experience
Jan. 2019 • Solo
Well this was an interesting tour of the whole process of the Iberian Ham. But I think in hall 5, there are some gruesome pics of the killing process of the pig ( don't let your child see it ). Apart from that, the process and flora, fauna is good to know about. Change the video according to the language you want.

A trip round the museum takes just under an hour & you get a taste of ham at the end.
English translation is available for parts.
You walk around on your own - no accompanying guide.

ok if you can read Spanish

the museum is large with plenty of information and pictures but all in Spanish. there is a video in English but is general and not a lot of info re how the jamon is produced.
there is a stair climber for those who cannot handle the stairs. after touring the displays there is a shop next to the reception where you get a tasting of the jamon and lots of items that you can buy.
guided tours are available

An interesting history of Jamon Iberico
Aug. 2017 • Family
Having visited the caves in Aracena we paid an extra couple of Euros to go to the Ham Museum. Although all the visual interpretation is in Spanish you can get an English information sheet which tells you everything you need to know about what you see. Certainly worth a visit and you get a free tasting of Jamon Iberico too.

Interesting
Dec. 2016 • Family
Overall an interesting museum if you're into your hams. Most of the exhibits are in Spanish, but there is a handout available in English to explain the various roomsuou go through. The main video can be shown in English, plus a number of the interactive videos throughout can be viewed in English.

Like ham, liked the museum.

Surprisingly good, if you like pigs /ham
Dec. 2016 • Couples
Look, it's a museum about ham... How exciting can that get? Actually, it's really well put together, informative and visually engaging. If you like or are interested in ham /food /pigs (who doesn't love Iberian pigs?) then you might find this place engrossing. If you don't, you might be surprised or may have your preconceptions confirmed. I enjoyed it.

Only as part of combined ticket
Oct. 2016 • Couples
We visited the caves (which are excellent, unmissable) and the ticket was only €3 more to include the castle, dull, and the Museum of ham). On the plus side, staff were very helpful and friendly and as everything is in Spanish gave us 2 pages of English explanations and also ran the intro video in English for just 2 of us. Beyond that, afraid to say that it was very dull.

The best was your guide
Jun. 2016 • Family
The museum it's OK. It explains what is the Dehesa, the place were the pigs used to make jamon are raised and maintained and how the jamon is produced. At the end you have a taste of the jamon available at the museum if you want to buy it. It's really good. Everything was explained perfectly by our guide that was terrific and you could tell he really enjoyed doing that. We were contaiged by his enthusiasm. It's a nice place to visit and buy good jamon.
