Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited Lacerta Winery for a wine tasting. First we got introduced to the process of making wine and went to the wine cellar after which the real thing started, to taste the wines! Marian especially provided great advice and shared his knowledge with interesting details.

If you like wine, please hire a driver in Bucharest and head to beautiful LacertA Winery! The young winery guide, Marian, spoke excellent English and was outstanding in his presentation---he began with a walk to the vineyard and explained how the grapes are pruned to maximize flavor and size, took us through the immaculate and new facilities, allowed a tasting from the barrel, explained each step of the process from harvest, to fermentation, through bottling, and ended with a generous tasting of 6 wines of our choice. Bread, crackers, olive oil, cheese, and water were on the table during the tasting and the view from the tasting room over the vineyard is amazing. The entire facility is new and is available for corporate events and tour groups, but when we visited, it was a tour for just the two of us. There are picnic tables so it would be wise to bring a hamper of lunch items because there really isn't any restaurant nearby and it is about 120 km from Bucharest. We purchased several bottle of their Cuvee IX wine after the tasting and enjoyed pleasant memories of the tasting/tour as we drank the wine. Many thanks and Kudos to the guide--Marian!

The team at Lacerta Winery ensured we had the most fun on a tour of a winery than we've ever had.
The location is amazing and the views across the fields are simply stunning. The tour was not rushed and they took time to explain everything in great detail which meant I learnt so much, so quickly.
We tried a number of great wines (Cuvee IX was fantastic) and spent the afternoon just chatting to the team and generally just having a really good time.
We bought a number of wines from them and hopefully we will return again one day.
Must see.

We booked a wine tasting here a couple of weeks ahead of our road trip in Transylvania. We were welcomed by Mihai who guided us through the hole wine making process in detail. After that we tasted six different wines, all very pleasant. This place is a bit ”off”, I guess not a lot of tourists come here. Lucky for us, we had a private tasting. I highly recommend this winery, we will definitly come back. Many thanks to Mihai!

A beautiful must do day trip from Bucharest. Especially for wine enthusiasts. This relatively new winery is beautifully set up in the Dealu Mare region for wine production and tourists like us to visit wineries for wine tasting. The beautiful terrace room for wine tasting was the perfect culmination to a short but extremely informative tour of the winery. We were extremely lucky to get the tour by Mihai Banitã, one of the top winemakers of România! The wine tasting room was a beautiful setting with a terrace garden and view of the rolling hills with a place setting of a wine glass and a beautiful late full of wine and Cheese for every person in the room. Marian, our guide for the tasting was an excellent host and answered any and every question we had about the wines we were tasting. The wine itself was delicious. It was hard to pick the few that we could take back home with us and my heart wished I could take back more. Definitely recommend this for a winery tour for anyone looking into Romanian wineries!

I find it amazing how a new winery can have such a good wine as Cuvee IX, the flagship of Lacerta whose first year (09) can compete easily with many good tuscan ones with long tradition. and this is not the only great wine but better to go and try by yourself. once arrived there, you feel that the whole team involved has put tremendous effort and passion into delighting their customers, paying attention to all details. Walter and Larisa know how to make guests feel wonderful and deserve consideration!

Seldom you find a wine sommelier who goes into every detail to explain you not only about the winery but also wine in general. For us who love wine, this was an experience that was the most memorable. We have done wineries in New Zealand, Croatia, Napa Valley, France, Georgia but this was the most unique, personalised, non-commercialized. And the best part was that it was nestled in the mountains secluded from the world.
Thank you Mihai😊

Ciao Francesca, ho bevuto il vostro vino Lacerta cuvee x (2015) e mi è piaciuto moltissimo. E' possibile spedirlo in Italia e quanto costa? Grazie
