If you go up there you will see a great view and you will know right away why there's a castle in Arraiolos. You can see miles of distance from there! The only thing that we can point is that the portuguese government should protect...More

As you arrive in Arraiolos you will see the castle on hill. You can see across the land for miles. Nice views.

Better castles to visit than this one...only some small rocks of the castle with terrain not well maintained

Only walls and a church is what remains. Interesting, with nice views. Church was closed, so it was disappointing.

This castle is old, and as such, there's not much there other than ruins. That said, head up there to see some incredible views of the surrounding landscape.

In fact all there is here are walls and a church on the hill which was closed when we visited it. The surrounding area is badly looked after, giving the appearance of being abandoned.

Great views from the castle walls over the surrounding countryside, as you would expect from its high viewpoint. Quaint church inside the walls, which is still occassionally used.

Staying a the local Pousada we could see the fortress from our balcony. Nothing much to see as regards the structure but amazing views
