Went to Old Street Gastropub, excellent menu and service! Fresh local produce used with Organic meat and poultry! Local specialties and own Vineyard! Was made very welcome! Live music and an enjoyable evening! Highly recommend!

Driving between Trapani and Palermo we decided to make a stop in Alcamo which is exactly the mid-point between the two cities. Alcamo is a fair-size town of about 45,000 inhabitants set up high (840 feet above sea level) and featuring a lovely historic center...More

It was an authentic surprise to walk in the historic side of Alcamo city. The architecture footprint it is of course middle age contest. Plenty churches and little ways with a lot of interesting spots to be immortalized with a nice camera.

Set high up, you have great views, there is a good range of shops and great bars (try Bar 900) with excellent food and ice cream. Alcamo is also famous for its wine.

Came for an aperitivo after lounging at the beach. Lovely town - the city centre is both cosy and impressive. Found a lovely place to have a glass of wine and sicilian snacks in the main square. It's called I sicily and would recommend this.

City Center is a must see. Active meeting place for the community with lots to see and great food to eat

A fairly attractive old town but driving round it is a nightmare. Very narrow streets crisscrossing each other with very little signage to help get out of town. We went round several times and felt like just leaving the car and calling a taxi. There...More

Go into the centre of Alcamo, very Italian and quaint. Lovely place to visit and stop for lunch and a glass of vino.
