Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A very beautifully decorated palazzo but no internal furnishings. Stairs to access (no lift was offered but I did find one hidden at the far end of the apartments which leads into the area which holds public offices/municipal doings etc) Not particularly fine frescoes but very pretty. No charge/ donation. I thought it was worth the 5euro for the 2 of us to encourage the further upkeep and opening of these historic buildings.

The Palazzo Ducale in Martina Franca is located at a very nice and peaceful square besides one of the entrance gates of the old town. A whole number of rooms can be visited, which display very nice frescos in baroque style. Interestingly, even the figures from the bible stories wear baroque clothing. It is somewhat unfortunate that no furniture was left in the rooms, so that they do appear somewhat empty. On the other hand, what is displayed, comes at free entrance, so no complaints. Definitely worth a visit if you are in town.

We visited on an overcast day to "fill in time" but were impressed by the magnificence of the place. Free entry. The artwork and decorations were incredibly detailed, and there were good descriptions in Italian and English.

Ths is a very imoressive & large building from the outside. Entry is free, but there's only a relatively small part actually open to the public - a series of large interconnecting rooms on the first floor, up a long and wide staircase.. The walls and ceilings, with paintings, are intact and preserved, but there is no furniture. No attempt has been made to restore the rooms to how they might have looked at one time, so be prepared to use your imagination!

Very disappointing to walk up so may flights of stairs to find that only one or two fresco painted rooms were open right now. Warning should have been at street level!
Tours sees to use this for the free toilet and there were long queues of school children waiting for the facilities.

We had a tour that went through the one floor of public rooms in this Palazzo, which is huge and now has lots of city offices mostly. the part of the palace one visits is 16th century I believe but the wall decorations are early 18th century and the floors modern.

It was a short but very informative tour, the palace has some pieces of art that you might enjoy, every room has its own story. Important place to visit if you are in Martina Franca.

This was a very pleasant surprise. The visit was part of our tour. We had already seen a fair number of churches and needed something different. This museum was just what we wanted.
It is free to enter and realistically takes about 30 minutes to go round. It consists of a series of large rooms connected at one end by a series of doorways. You therefore enter one room and leave to go into the next without a separate corridor. This gives an impression of being drawn into the building and at the same time eagerly awaiting what lies next door.
On the walls of each room are a series of paintings, some very large, and most depicting biblical scenes. There are fortunately good explanatory notes in English which help you to appreciate the whole display.
This is well worth a visit.

Stunning from the outside - worth admiring. I have walked by many times but I always stop to admire for just a few seconds. Lovely inside as well.
