With original features and paintings, the building is lovingly maintained. While feeling authentic, it was surprisingly warm and very cozy, we had a really comfortable bed. The location is convenient for all attractions of the East coast.

Do not believe the reviews on Airbnb. They are not accurate. I posted a negative review on Airbnb and they removed it. There are many terrible conditions I experienced. The bathroom was basically unusable. Someone’s hair was on the sink, the tub was gross, there were loose wires sticking out of the wall in the bathroom and bedroom. The apricot jam on the kitchen table is so old it grew mold. I could get seriously sick eating that. No one greeted us or ever spoke a word to us until we were compelled to leave on the morning of 9/17/19 . There was used soap, which someone else used. Was gifted the night by my sister and was perfect for myself and my husband. Very warm, quirky, comfortable and welcoming. Loved the Halloween decorations, breakfast perfect and great views from the top of the castle!

What an amazing place to stay. We were warmly greeted into this cosy, warm, historic home with a smell reminiscent of wonderful memories. The accommodation is perfect for a night or as we had wished for many nights. A lovely kitchen, drawing room and the comfort of the private bedrooms are all thoughtfully presented and laid up. Breakfast is informal. A range of goodies for a continental breakfast plus eggs to cook. Your in charge of cooking/making you breakfast and the host encourages you to use the kitchen so I would suggest buying some bacon if you want it. Fresh fruit, bread, cereals, home made type scones, and easily catered for my Gluten Free needs. The drawing room is your to use and share with anyone else staying. TV, games and a log fire are available. Bedrooms are cosy, farmhouse style with warm bed linen, quite and dark to sleep in late. We loved this place and when we return will be hear a few nights. Thanks to our host.…
