After walking around the lake we realised that there was an information center/ museum at the EDF electricity plant.
All the family thoroughly enjoyed the visit from the oldies to the young ones.
Most informative and best of all free.
After the visit we drove up to the Grand Maison lake, where the whole process starts!

Very well documented museum located just closed to an in service power station. Due to that, an ID document is requested to enter the site. Free of charge.

Very informative and interactive museum. Absolutely worth a visit. Kids love it. There's a game they can play with assignments to find out about things on display. Would be great to have it in other languages than only French. The visit is free of charge.

What a great place to visit!

Well laid out, informative. A lot in French language but hey, learn French. Some English pamphlets. All not needed as so hands on and well presented. The French do presentation so very well.

Combine with a tour up to La Grand Maison towards Le Col de Glandon and you will be in for an engineering and nature adventure. I can recommend the 3 hour cycle up instead of the car.

And it is free. Merci
