The market happens every Thursday in the entrance of Ménerbes. What we loved about it is that it is not overcrowded contrarily to many markets around (eg Gordes). Then it is rather small (around 20 shops) but one can find some local specialties , fruits and cheese. What we loved is that all shopkeepers are happy to have a chat with the tourists to discuss about their products, the area..or other topics. So nice experience if you lodge around Ménerbes or on the way to visit this beautiful village.

Park at the municipal car park before the village and walk in. On the way stop and admire the beautiful cliff face facade of the village. The place was besieged by Germans during the war, according Info Points along the way.
The steep, narrow streets are filled with a variety of tourist shops. There are lots of restaurants and cafes.
Make sure you go right to the top via the sculpture garden and look out over the views on both sides of this tiny hill top village.

This is a lovely market to stroll through in what has to be one of the most attractive towns in the area. Great place to begin your visit and to enhance your trip.
