Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The house is just below the hill, where is the monument of the revolutionary.
The house is a museum and interesting facts can be learned.
From the hill above it, where Rakovski rode his horse and calls for a rebellion, you can see almost the whole town.

The house-museum of Georgi Benkovski is a must-visit for every Bulgarian in Koprivshtitsa. It is a really interesting place with a lot of educational facts and pictures. And you can also try to figure out how the people lived in those times from the beautifully restored interior of the rooms.
Benkovski was one of the organizers and leaders of the April Uprising against the Turks.
A beautiful and majestic monument of Georgi Benkovski is situated some hundred meters uphill from his house.

This museum house is about 10 minutes walk from the center. It is a very nice walk up the hill so enjoy. You can start here and then do the rest 5 or you can end here after you've visited all the rest. In the packaged price, this house is included.

The monument of Benkovski is right above his house. From there you can see a stunning view of the city. Must see!

The house is fully saved. A new repair has been completed soon. Adapted without damage to the layout, all architectural elements and details are preserved except for the glazed porch.

In a lovely garden the attractive house with a charming wooden facade is an apt introduction to the eventful life of its famous resident.

He was born Gavril Hlatev and only adopted the name Georgi Benkovski on his return to the town in 1875. He was central to the April 1876 revolution but he and his fellow revolutionaries were betrayed, leading to his death shortly afterwards.

The interior is redolent of a comfortable family life, with the lower winter rooms and the summer quarters atop. Here is a fine veranda containing a replica of a cherry wood cannon. We had fine vistas of the town from here.

Family photos are engaging, including those of Georgi and his mother.

Not first time in Koprivshtica and first time up the hill. A good view with nice spot for a meeting with the sun.

Great when not many people around. And the nearby water stream makes the monument a good relax point for the day.

One of the biggest sculptures I've seen in Bulgaria so far. The view from the top is simply indescribable - the whole town of Koprivshtitsa is beneath you and the nature is beautiful! Even the air feels so fresh!
