Fantastic evening with a great cooking teacher

We enjoy this cooking class very much - exceeded all expectations. The teacher knows the Sri Lankan cuisine very well and did his job smart and likable. The food is great.

Highly recommend doing the cooking class here. 2500 rupees so it's around Aus $25. You get a cook book, a very informative and fun cooking class where you do take part in everything (hands on) and you get to eat everything after. The guy giving the class was lovely, funny and had perfect English and even had some German and... More

This is a great experience if you are wanting to discover where your spices at home originate from. There is a very nice local and highly knowledgeable man who shows you through his spice garden, explaining each spice and the process from plant to shelf. At a small cost of 100LKR it's defintly worth a trip to see, and it's... More

Great little tour. 100rps per person for a short tour around the garden of the herbs and spices growing there. Some of these are for sale at the end of the tour, which I think is where they make their money from this tour, inside the house. Enjoyable tour and well worth it!

A great collection with a lot of information! Learned a lot and were able to ask some questions. You also can (not must) buy some spices. They are for a good price and a fantastic gift

When we visited ella we spontaneously decided to take part in a sri Lankan cooking class. Usually the families father gives the class, we were part of the son's debut who really did a great job! We prepared different kind of curries and furthermore learned a lot about sri lankan and Asian kitchen in general. In the end we were... More
