Lovely safe beach

Balmoral is a nice safe Sydney harbour beach which is easy to get to. It is a nice place to stroll along and people watch.

This beach is beautiful and not too crowded. You can sit back and really relax when you are here. Apart from swimming, you can hire the board for standing and paddling. Seawater is very clear and beach is very clean.

This is a very very popular place - parking is horrendous- you need to be patient- very safe swimming for families- not enough seating for everyone to enjoy. Restaurants are great but you need to book- leave plenty of time to find a park. Take away has a number of places but again be prepared to queue and wait. A... More

Is a great place but, with so many parking restrictions for visitors, has taken the great out of it! I used to travel there from the Shire on a number of Saturday or Sunday afternoons to just have a nice coffee, fish and chips or an ice cream. Now with the parking restrictions, that go late in the evening in... More

I have taken my family to Balmoral Beach several times this summer. Balmoral beach is a very good beach for young and teenage children as well as the whole family. The beach has a caged area for all swimmers or you can swim outside on the other side, this beach has no waves. The beach is pleasant to sit around... More

Balmoral Beach has the perfect combination of beach, park, cafes and scenery. It's a wonderful spot for a non-surf swim and so it's perfect for adults and children. There are enclosed baths and children's play areas, or lots of open beach. Sit at an outdoor cafe or grab a coffee and a bite to eat at one of the kiosks.... More

Just go for a walk, swim and fish&chips. Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and friendly people. Take sailing lessons or swimming lessons for kids!

I've been visiting Balmoral Beach since I was 2 and I'm now 60 and I've always loved it. Summer or winter, rain or shine, this is a very special place. Although the shops and homes have been transformed over the years and the shark net has finally been removed, the gracious esplanade, bridge to the island and shady fig trees... More

Balmoral Beach is a special place enjoyed by many locals, many ages and sometimes tourists. It is a favorite with everyone offering walks, safe swimming (no waves), a community spirit and a variety of cafes and restaurants.

This is a great spot for a swim a picnic or just go for a nice walk. Beautiful views and beach all in one! It can be a nightmare trying to park and the Local Rangers are brutal they love to issue fines(sad really that they get off on it) I suggest parking away from the beach in one of... More
