On the shores of Lake Wanaka, Rippon has been farmed by the Mills family for 4 generations. Our vineyard Cellar Door offers tastings of a selection of wines all grown and produced on our Demeter-certified biodynamic lakeside vineyard. We do not have a restaurant onsite, nor are picnics allowed. For groups of more than 6 people, we ask that you call ahead to ensure that we are able to accommodate you for a tasting. We look forward to seeing you at the vineyard when you are in Wanaka!

Popped in here just 45mins before they closed and they were very friendly, welcoming and ready to give a well detailed tasting session. The views are beautiful as is the building

Lovey review, thank you James! We are always happy to hear when our guests enjoy their experience here at Rippon. Please do come back again when you can. We'll have some new vintages for you in a few short months. Cheers!

We popped in for a tasting, the staff were knowledgeable and provided a good service. The wine selection was good, we even bought some (normally too tight to spend money on wine). There are great views across the lake and the vineyard.

As locals, we had heard good reports of this restaurant that opens in Rippon Hall during the winter. Finally we tried it, last weekend. It's very good and has a special ambience. At night, in the winter you cannot see the outstanding view from this...More

Hi Sally - Great to hear you enjoyed your time and meal at the Chef's Table! We have finished again for this year but may be back next winter. Keep your eyes on our website and in the Messenger for details. Cheers!

By day we did the wine tasting with a view that must be seen. At night we had our last Wanaka meal at the Chef's Table. You must go early in the winter months to see the view as the sun sets. The fire roars,...More

The vineyard boasts great views, and has an interesting history how it came to be. The young lady while promoting the product also revealed some very good anecdotes about the history of the area - made it all the more enjoyable.

Hi Barney - Great review ... cheers! Fabulous to hear you enjoyed your time here with us. Our staff, similar to our wines, enjoy giving our visitors a better understanding of their place. Delighted to hear it was all appreciated.

One word... stunning. We visited with two families for a private tasting followed by dinner in their winter-only pop-up restaurant in their ‘function room’ (a beautiful hall). While the private tasting carries a fee, you receive one on one attention from one of the winery...More
