En-route from Queenstown to Lake Tekapo, be sure to stop by for some delicious and fresh salmon sashimi. Do note that there isn't a physical farm around. There are tables outdoor where you can indulge in the sashimi and enjoy amazing view of Lake Pukaki and Mount Cook.

Ok, so besides the view being incredible the sashimi salmon is out of this world good. Its well worth the $10 to buy one or more. Its fresh and the soy sauce is lovely. I went back for seconds.

I was looking to explore a salmon farm but this is not is. It is at best, a shop selling salmon with excellent service. Makes a good stop for a break from driving. Plus that the salmon tasted great. But if you're like me, seeking a farm to explore and learn, this is not is. I must at least commend... More

There is a nice view but the salmon farm is just a salmon sales point with nothing interesting and no living Salmons.

We stopped for a look and to feed the salmon and buy some fish for dinner. There was only one salmon pen that you had access to see and feeding the salmon gave you a fleeting view of fish fairly deep in the water. The salmon that we purchased was tasty, but I credit the cook for that. It is... More

We stopped at the small location right on the lake on our drive from Tekapo to Mt Cook. What a fantastic snack with a perfect view of the lake and mountains in the distance. Beautiful setting and delicious food. We stopped on the way back as well because it was so good.

Another stop along the way to Wanaka-you night say the half way point here you can get views of the scenery and of and Mt cook. As you walk to the shop, you have the opportunity to take pictures in one of the photo billboards. This particular day this seemed pretty popular with visitors from Japan ( I believe). Once... More
