We had a day trip via our Silversea Muse Cruise There was about 20 of us picked up from the port & taken to the private island for snorkelling & lunch Whilst it was hot and steamy plenty of shade We were given a snorkelling tour off the island & then had a BBQ & a talk on the benefit of a coconut tree Best part was the talented singers who encouraged all the mob into a singalong back to the ship , great fun

The crew is fantastic even there was a small reservation mistake which we was not informed in advance until we called the office directly the day before activity. And was told they would not operate on the day we booked due to bad weather. If the staff can contact us first instead of calling by ourself would be perfect. Other than that the cruise experience itself is fantastic . I would highly suggest you to call by phone double confirm your reservation before you departure ( even you got Expedia voucher already) The boarding time is bit later than other group, I think it’s good to stay away from other tours big group. And can fully enjoy Fiji style welcoming when boarding. All staff are nice, supportive, kind and super entertaining. If you are Not fond of big crowd, party club style and just want to enjoy Fijian passion and real nature creature. Oolala (savala iskand operated) could be your best choice! They welcoming us with music, homemade cake on boat. The most important thing is everything is included in the ticket ( all you can drinks, delicious BBQ , all water activity) They have a snorkeling guide and a boat by side, so if you are the first time player like me, just make sure your mask is with right size (if too big, you will drink a lot salty water) no worries they have different size of masks and shoes for you. Just follow the instruction, you will have a lot fun and see lots of coral and fish ( lots of Dory, Nemo’s best friend :) Water is crystal clear and after the snorkeling, you will be treated with BBQ( included in the ticket). YES, included. You don’t have to worry about extra pay for each drink and food like other commercial club and resort . Here they just treat you like friends. Anyway, it’s not like a five star buffet but well enough with salad drinks BBQ. I’m so full dinner time. The super highlight I the tour are ‘baby shark ‘ and ‘ self operate band’ you cannot imagine how many ( more then 20) baby sharks swim between your leg and crossing around, just by the beach. When retiring to Denarau port, sone of the staff playing guitar, dancing, drumming to delight our last part of the journey. Talking about boat, here it is not as big as Malayala beach and South sea but it is definitely comfortable and clean. If I bring my family here next time, I will still choose oolala. Thanks for providing awesome Fiji hospitality her. Hope to come back again !

A good family day out. Safe for littlies. Friendly, attentive staff. Lovely fresh food. Endless supply of drinks. Coral Beach so need thongs. Snorkelling fun. Coral is looking sad however, but then that’s off most islands now closer to Denarau. Kayaks. Paddle boards. Island itself needs a little attention- suggest new chairs and Bure roof re doing. Otherwise a VERY RELAXING FUN DAY OUT.

We had a wonderful day out with Wesley, Bubu, Sabastian and the Oolala crew out to Savala Island. We boarded our boat at Port Denarau at around 9:20am and the cruise to Savala took around 1.5 hours. During that time we had some delicious homemade local pineapple cakes and a giant esky/cooler filled with beers, wine, champagne, soft drinks, juices and water so we had plenty of refreshments. The boat itself had two large nets at the front where you could lie on bean bags and get a tan while taking in the scenery. It was a nice relaxing start to the day. Once we arrived at the island, our group of 14 essentially had the whole island to ourselves. We started off with a guided snorkelling tour led by Wesley. All snorkelling gear was supplied and he took us out a few hundred metres out to sea. There were water noodles for flotation and Oolala had boats on standby in the event that anyone started to struggle or got tired. What was really exceptional was that since my wife couldn't swim but wanted to snorkel, one of the staff personally took her out and she could hang onto him the whole time (while she was propped up on some water noodles as well). This was a real highlight of the day for her because she went from being petrified of going out into the water and nearly in tears to having one of the best experiences in her life. So thank you Oolala for helping my wife overcome her fear of the ocean. After the snorkelling expedition finished it was back to the island where a BBQ lunch had been prepared for us with marinated chicken, lamb sausages, a variety of salads and fresh fruit, plus another giant esky cooler full of beverages. The Oolala crew played music and sang songs during lunch to keep us entertained. Wesley and Bubu then conducted a coconut demonstration where they husked and split a coconut, made coconut cream and showed various uses of a coconut. After the demonstration we got to feed and pat baby sharks, followed by being taken out to sea to hand feed fish which was another cool experience. The island had other equipment that was free to use such as paddle boards, canoes and beach volleyball. Otherwise you could just relax on one of the many sun lounges positioned around the island. It was a very cool 4 hours spent on our own island before we headed back to Port Denarau. On the way back there was once again plenty of drinks on the boat and the crew played guitars and sang songs. It was a very fun day and I would highly recommend this as a must do activity if you come to Fiji. Vinaka to Wesley and the Oolala crew for a wonderful experience.
