Lots of information, good food you can purchase, toilets, a little supermarket. There is an outdoor seating area also. The museum is a little light on.

It was disappointing that when we were there (Friday 11th Sept 2020) the entire visitor centre was closed for renovations. Unfortunately, the ten open bowling alley is within the centre so we couldn't even see or play. Museum wasn't even open. Thankfully as we were there on a Friday, we did go to the observatory and marvelled at the clear night sky.

Woomera is famous in Australia for its use as a rocket testing range. So lots of baby boomer types will feel compelled to stop here. Well, the guys will... Anyway there is plenty of parking here and a fast food kinda place and this museum has plenty of story boards telling the story of the area and the testing. The entry fee is pretty nominal and you get your monies worth. There are a few tourist items for purchase if you wish as well. If you have jumped off the Stuart Hwy to see Woomera this and the rocket park are basically what you've come to see. Check their opening times.

A great place to start Woomera as it gives you it's history which is very fascinating. Easy to walk around and read and you can purchase souvenirs or some food too

Hesitated to visit as I was keen to get on the road and had to wait for it to open but so worth it. Small fee for the museum but it is a really informative display of the history of why Woomera and what happened there. Good information on exhibits and the video on entry sets the scene of where Woomera fits in. My wife is not usually a fan of these things but she found it very interesting too. Well worth the visit.
