The trip is good, but you have to wait a lot and buy tickets a day after, specially if it's a holiday weekend. Nothing luxurious but still comfortable and the view is beautiful.

Listen people, the choices are limited.... It's the ferry, take a little expensive plane ($100+), do a snorkeling tour on a catamaran that takes you there ($80+) or you can swim.... HAHA. The beach really is beautiful. My experience was a good one because I...More

I have been to Culebra a few times and this Ferry system is ALWAYS very unorganized. Wait times are horrible and the ferry itself is simply dirty. There were small roaches close to me seat needless to say it was a very disappointing experience, AGAIN.

It is the cheapest way to see the beautiful islands of Puerto Rico. Be aware locals have priority and the schedule is unreliable. It could be cancelled unannounced because of rough seas or mechanical issues. The cabin is highly air conditioned so bring sweater or...More

Bare minimums. At least the upper cabin is cool. It is an econo-ferry. It's just a place to sit for an hour and ten mins. Bathrooms adequate but no soap & nothing to dry your hands.

Questions & AnswersAsk a question
My question is about the ferry to Vieques. We will have to take one of the later in the day ferry trips. It sounds from the posts like the early Culebra ferry is the one that can be a challenge. Does anyone have any knowledge about if we can depend on our ability to get on the ferry as planned?

While waiting for the Culebra Ferry, the Vieques line was always moving - never a wait.

If it's not a rental, most rental agencies will not allow you to. They consider vieques and culebra "another island". Just double check their policy
