The sinking bell tower is in the middle of a busy road and there is no parking at all. If you want to check the bell tower out do so from a moving vehicle with a passenger taking photos (safety first).

This historic Laoag landmark is quite remarkable and worth navigating the busy traffic on the streets surrounding it for a close look. Hard to get a good photo of it without all the overhanging electrical wiring. Unfortunately one cannot go inside.

Ancient places tell a story. This place has its own quaint story to tell. Brings you back in olden times. It feels good to have a memento of what was it before we were born

There wasn't much to see. But still, it tells a story. It reflects of heritage and how religious the people of Laoag are. There's the huge "Laoag" in front of it. Snap a picture in that spot to affirm that you've been to Laoag!

This is truly a landmark in the area. This place is very near our hotel, we just walked to this place. Below is a signage that says Laoag and is lighted in the evening. Try to visit during sunset so it has a golden color.

I used to think that bell tower should be located on top of the church roof. But history proved otherwise. In Ilocos, the bell tower is separate from the main church. The Bell Tower becomes a historical landmark in the present modern times within the city . It was told that the earthquake caused the sinking.

Stopped by the Church of Laoag on the last day of our Ilocos tour. A few steps away is the Sinking Bell Tower. Took a few photos and visited the booths near the tower. There's a McDonald's nearby where you can stop for snacks.

It is your usual old bell tower, very disappointing because the government did not exert any effort to beautify the surrounding of the tower. All you have is a tower in the middle of a street. Ugh!
