A wonderful cause and an eye-opening experience. They support local makers and put back into communities. The small boutique shop sells a selection of beautifully made Lao crafts.

You will see how the Laotian people along with other helpful countries are dealing with the un exploded bombs left in their country as a result of Vietnam War bombing missions to defeat the North Vietnamese army fighting in Laos.

I knew the history of the "secret war" before going to Laos, however it was still interesting to see the centre. Loads of books to read, information to absorb and some gifts to buy to help support them. In the centre of town to easy to get to.

The centre has handicrafts, gifts and photos describing the ongoing plight of the thousands of people who are daily affected by unexploded bombs. Heart wrenching.

The information in the museum was well laid out, informative and moving. There are three different films shown daily that are free. We went to the 6.30pm 'Bombies' film which was very moving and upsetting but it's important to know what happened and is still happening to the Laos victims of illegal US bombings.

Did not know before just how much Laos was bombed. Ordnance on dis[lay with informative talk. Not a large display but the effect is there. Only 1% has been cleared from the country.

This is a small place in the heart of the Guesthouses and thoroughly worth a visit. It only needs 10-15 minutes but the information is well presented to help you understand this region of Laos. It is free but you can make a purchase or a donation to help. They also show 3 documentaries from 4pm (we didn't have time... More
