A very fun day doing the Tubing down river. Keep your sun screen will be very handy. Have a good breakfast cause we finished late afternoon. Mornings are the best as not much crowd. Beware of the high pricey drinks along the river.

We were a small group of 3 people, tuning was funny and also somewhat challenging due to low Water level and some stones. Allover there Werke not many people Tubing this time. It is worth the experience :-)

Great day out and guaranteed good time. We went two days in a row and would have gone again if we stayed longer. Finish the day off by visiting space bar!

If you want to have a nice day on the river go for tubing... There is at least two possible routes. One is the old one that ends in Vang Vieng and the other we took is the red tubs - a little more away from the town. The river was quiet. There was a bar at the beginning and... More

We had a great time on the river. It can take several hours to just float down and relax. We had a 5 year old local boy that jumped on our tube out of no where and put us in an uncomfortable situation. We didn't want to yell at him to leave but he clung on to our tube until... More

The process of hiring the tubes and going there was easy and straight forward. We got all our deposit back no problem (as got them back before 6pm). But the tubing was really hard work! There's no current atm in dry season so we paddled for 4km basically and sometimes the water was so shallow you bumped your bum and... More

We went early to avoid the mental crowds of drinkers (10:30/11). We still stopped at every bar but be aware that the first bar will try and tell you that there are only 2 bars open that day and the next is really quiet. This is just a lie to make you stay and spend more money, we found another... More

Tubing was a lot of fun! Drinking a beer while being on a tube on the river. Because of a number of accidents they closed several bars. When we were Tubing in march there were not many people .

We had heard all the infamous tales of tubing some years ago, well I am telling you things have changed!! We spent a fairly boring 2 hours floating down the river with 1 stop at a bar with very overpriced drinks and nibbles. Worse though was the one and a half hour wait for transport at the end to get... Having first gone tubing here over five years ago when it was still 'crazy' it has become much much smaller. From 30ish bars to 2-4 bars on the river. The main benefit in this other than safety as i can see is it can be me more flexible to different visitors. You can tube down sober without stopping or perhaps... More
