My private guided Rock Climbing day with Allen was by far the best guided trip I have been on. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable but an absolute awesome guy to spend the day with! I am already planning my next trip to do another course with ZMS and my guide Allen.

We had heard about ZMS from some friends who had a great experience with these guys and decided to sign up for an all-day canyoneering trip. It was so much fun! Al was our guide - friendly and professional. He took the time to explain how the equipment works and the safety measures that go into making this such a... More

Three friends and I planned a trip to Subway at Zion for a bachelor party, and took their one day canyoneering class to prepare for the hike. Steffan was our guide and "showed us the ropes." He was not only an awesome teacher, he's also a really cool guy to hang out with for the day! By the end of... More

ZMS took dad (51), mom (ha!), daughter (11) and son (6) Canyoneering for a half a day - our guide was a real pro. Super safety conscious, but when he saw he had an adventurous athletic group he took us down some more challenging stuff than I think a less tuned-in guy would do. Strongly recommend them, and can't imagine... More

I would like to bring to your attention the professional attitude of Al Lapinski. He was my guide for the recent trip to the Barracks and Fat Man canyon. He demonstrated knowledge and excellent judgment. I felt comfortable, like I had known him for many years. Even though I had some physical limitations, he got me through the ruff spots.... More

I was visiting Zion National Park with my two sons (age 13 and 11) for a full week. Together, we tackled many of Zion's aggressive day-hikes, but wanted to expand our horizons with some canyoneering / rock repelling. That said, we had little experience in that area. I found Zion Mountain School in town (Springdale), stopped in, and talked for... More

Our friends recommended this place to book a canyoneering tour. We are so glad we made this choice!! We took their half day package and chose the 7 Am timing. When we reached there in the morning , our guide Steph (spelling?) introduced himself. Me and my husband were totally new to this activity and were very nervous on what... More

Hi Soumya P, Thanks for the kind words. We truly love sharing this beautiful home of ours with others. You will be happy to hear that we have already replaced our rental shoe fleet for the narrows! We are the only rental company to carry 3 different types of shoes to fit all types of feet. I noticed you didn't... More

We decided to go with Zion Mountain School after reading reviews on TripAdvisor and we are so glad we did. ZMS offers you a private guide for your trip and after seeing other groups of 8 or 9 people, we were happy to have gone with our own guide so that we avoided long waits. Based on TripAdvisor advice, we... More

We stopped in to rent equipment to hike the Narrows and purchased a day of Canyoneering as well. Couldn't have had a better day, thanks to our guide (Steffan). Canyoneering, repelling, hiking slot canyons, breathtaking views. Steffan was extremely professional, knowledgeable and respecting and calming our nervousness as we had never done anything like this before. Showing us an amazing canyon... More

Alan and Amanda were friendly guides for our day canyoneering in Water Canyon. Alan was focused in ensuring everyone in our group had a safe and challenging time. He also did a great job mentoring Amanda who was new to being a guide and at the same time making sure we were having fun. Amanda was professional and friendly as... More
