This well known lodge is a wonderful place for a hot chocolate beside a roaring fire, or a G&T. Spent a pleasant couple of hours with the latter, watching a wedding party freeze outside. Great location. Expensive!

We are so fortunate to be able to visit this gorgeous hotel at least once a year. Each time we're there we experience the most gracious service by really well trained staff. And, each year we discover something new about the hotel or meet another extraordinary member of the staff. This year is was Susan, the captain in the dining... More

I have always loved this hotel since first setting eyes on it in the 1970's. It is really remarkable and a place to enjoy. I love the Indian motifs and stained glass window. The great lounge with its super, huge fireplaces are a must to enjoy. They serve tea and cookies in the afternoon for the guests. Don't miss breakfast... More

This hotel was built in 1927 with stone, wood and cement. It is the oldest thing in Yosemite and it survived the floods and fires. The architecture is not to be missed

You must stop and tour the hotel -- even if you cannot afford staying here. The price is really high now but it is work walking around the lobby. The fireplaces are so cool. Maybe get an 'expensive dinner'. Very nice place

Returned here for the Christmas Bracebridge dinner. The grounds are stunning any time of the year, but the winter snow added a wonderland aura. The Hotel still looks amazing - it truly is a landmark. Can't say enough about the Bracebridge dinner show - everything regarding the meal and production was absolutely top-notch. Bucket-list item checked off

If you are looking for some reprieve while in the park, then this is a definite must-see. Food/drinks are a tad overpriced but you are definitely paying for the ambiance. If you get drinks from the restaurant/bar be sure to take them out to the lobby areas and sit outside of one of the fires. A definite for architecture fans.

Even if you are not staying here it is sure worth a visit. It is a beautiful hotel in the National Park. We walked around the lobby and peeked in the restaurant. We sat on the patio on a great fall afternoon and enjoyed a drink. The view is great. It is a beautiful historic hotel. It is in Yosemite... More

This is a privately owned/operated property and has recently changed the name to The Majestic Yosemite Hotel. Lovely main floor, beautiful gift shop. Watch the staff light the grand fireplace. We did enjoy 'Irish Nut Coffee' outside in the courtyard.
