We are so glad we came in May! The roads are clear and the waterfalls are forceful with the snowmelt driving them. You can see the Upper Yosemite Falls from many places in the park but you need to take a short uphill walk to...More

It is right behind Yosemite lodge. You can hear it before you see it. I walked in all directions to get different views. The snow melt has this waterfall roaring. You just have to experience this.

I was lucky enough to visit in May 2018, and happily, we got to see the falls flowing. This was my fourth national park in my life, and I'm honored to have seen it.

Not as wide as Niagara, bit quite tall and fairly spectacular to watch. Easy walk through the Forrest from main park road. Worth stopping for half an hour or so.

The water was raging in May. Great picture op. The walk to the lower Yosemite Falls was just that "a walk" not a hike. Anyone can do it. Don't miss it.

Lower falls are an easy stroll and very nice. Upper falls are amazing but require a much longer hike with quite a bit of elevation gain. We did both and climbed up to Yosemite Point and it was one of the hikes we liked the...More

WOW, WOW, WOW! There are no words to accurately describe the beauty, the grandeur and vastness of Yosemite. We climbed Yosemite Falls - its a full day hike so be prepared for that. Pack some food, trail-mix and water & don't forget sunscreen. In April...More

Stay at the Yosemite View Lodge just outside the park in El Portal. When you go into the valley, park as close to, but NOT PAST, the Yosemite Valley Chapel. If you go past, the roads get jammed up. and it is about a 10... More

The lower falls is a short walk to the viewing area. He should have no problem with that. I think you have to hike to the top of the falls for the "upper," which would be too much. Park your car and take advantage of the... More
