Simply unbelievable. We visited Taft point after hiking up the 'four-mile trail' to Glacier point and were more impressed by the view at this site; get there later on and watch the sun disappear beneath the horizon, it is truly mesmerising. I'll put it like...More

When we were there (June 14, 2017), the trail was still flooded and snowy, about 20%. It was managable, and someone has tagged a few trees with red streamers to lead the way to the point. Beautiful vista views at the point, only scary if...More

This trail is nice, but with a higher snowpack in June 2017, it was very muddy and snowy. It was moderate

I just hiked the trail from Glacier Point to Taft Point last week (late May). Beware that the trail is still covered in snow at many point, so make sure you bring a GPS if you plan to hike here soon. We would have been...More

This spot is spectacular. The trail is 2 miles round trip, flat, and easy unless it is covered in snow as it is right now (May 2017). Once the snow melts off you can access it easily. Just keep kids and pets close to you...More

This was a great pull-off with excellent views of the valley. It was also a break from the crazy winding road to the top of Glacier Point Road.

This is a great day hike with fantastic 360 degree views. You will lose most of the crowds on this one. It looks harder than it is, so don't let this one intimidate you. The views are worth it from the top.

Take this relatively short trail for some of the best views in all of Yosemite. If you want to really feel the scale of the view, go over to the metal guardrail for great photos and a hair-raising look down into the valley!

We had a great short hike (2.2 mile round trip) to Taft Point last November. The scenery was AMAZING (even better than the views from Glacier Point). From here you can see all three parts of Yosemite Falls (Upper Falls, Middle Falls, and Lower Falls),...More

I hiked from Glacier point at sunrise around to sentinel dome and Taft point. What an amazing hike with great views at every turn. Make the extra effort and enjoy the natural beauty of the area. There are no guard rails and dangerous drop offs...More

From what I remember, yes there is one. Be warned thought that is a SMALL one. Lots of people park on the side of the road. If you get there early enough, you will have no problem.
