The trail is paved most of the way to the falls, with drinking fountains and bathrooms along the route. While the falls weren't roaring in September, the water was still flowing. The hike to the falls is steeper than expected, but beautiful at every step.
This hike is not for those out of shape! My husband and I consistently work out and this hike was not the easiest. However it was 100% worth every step! The views from the top are breathtaking.

Stunning views, excellent walking, amazing waterfalls! A must-do for anyone visiting California! The views from Glacier Point were fantastic and it was a great walk back down to Half Dome Village from here!

Hiking to Nevada Falls is an awesome adventure and something that must be experienced in person as words cannot describe the beauty. Leave plenty of time to enjoy the various vistas and make sure to wear good shoes.

We this hike starting at about 9:00am. In the summer, I recommend an earlier start to avoid the heat and to somewhat lessen the crowds. It is a fantastic voyage among granite and Nevada Falls and Vernal Falls are both wonderful.
