This hike is on the short side, but involves some steep uphill pitches. It's rated "moderate," which seems about right. You don't have to go to the very top dome to get wonderful views. We did it in early October and met no one until...More

This rock dome is one of the main features of Tuolumne meadows and looks like an easy climb up its flanks from a distance. Looks are deceiving but it is still a unique formation. There are trails on both sides though. There are quite a...More

We camped in Tuolomne for three nights and this was our home dome. A great place for sunset or sunrise, big expanse of rock to rest and hang out on--they even do yoga some mornings. The hike is deceptive--if you are on a tight timeline,...More

Wow what a 360 view! The hike was fairly short. The top of the dome was interesting to hike to, a bit of a scramble. It was windy so hold on to your things.

Off Tioga Road, easy hike to top with amazing views.Take water, hat, binoculars and time to enjoy. While on top, look for places you'll want to hike to spend day(s) along Tioga Road.

This is quite a steep and high hike to do, so keep in mind that the air will be very thin at the top after you've just walked a very steep hill. Take your time. The very top of Lembert dome offers a fantastic panoramic...More

Nice hike through the trees and views of the meadow. You may see some deer or researchers. Only tricky part is the last bit going up the dome. You should use good footwear and have lunch on the top.

This is a great day hike from Tioga Pass. The view from the top rivals any of the others in the park. You need good shoes to tackle the last hundred yards to the top, but other than that it is a climb that most...More
