Getting up early is the way to go in order to see the wildlife! We were picked up at Mammoth Hot Springs hotel and were given a box breakfast / snack of juice and muffin. We saw bison, wolf pups, and tried to spot mountain goats to no avail. They had spotting scopes and binoculars for all to use. Worth... More

We saw things we would never have seen otherwise! Our wonderful tour guide took our small group to see an active wolf den with pups. What an experience. We also saw beaver, a red tailed hawk nest complete with babies, a bald eagle, a mountain goat with kid, big horn sheep - not to mention the standard bison, pronghorn, etc.... More

Since we had never been to Yellowstone, my husband and I wanted to select a tour that would not only highlight some of the unique places in the park, but also give us a true sense of the history of this magnificent place. The “Wakeup to Wildlife” tour provided that and so much more. Picked up promptly at the Mammoth... More

My 15 year old's #1 animal he wanted to see in Yellowstone was the wolf, so we booked this tour thinking that it would be our best shot since the guides know where to look. We went to the site where a wolf den used to be, but they had moved on a couple weeks earlier. With the exception on... More

Our guide, Caroline, worked hard to find us wildlife to see, but we weren't so lucky. What we were able to see without binoculars, we had seen the night before when driving the loop on our own...the bison herds, elk, prong horns. Caroline took us where other viewers were trying to see wolf pups with scopes, set up her scope... More

This tour is on the Yellow Bus and has space for 12 lucky passengers. I booked this tour the day the tour became available for the 2016 season. We met our driver in the Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel lobby at 5:45 AM. We missed breakfast this day but made it back in time for lunch. We drove out to Roosevelt... More

First, our guide was knowledgeable and a real sweetie. I enjoyed his company. But, for anyone with a car and some binoculars, what we did would be better on your own. Just drive the main roads out to Lamar Valley and stop where you see others grouped up watching animals. In fact, the vehicle for "Wake up to Wildlife" was... More

We took the Wake Up to Wildlife Tour to the Lamar Valley on our fifth day in the park, and it was fantastic, well worth the early wake up and breakfast. Our guide Wim came to Yellowstone in 1991 or 1992 to spend a season there. As happens to many with that plan he is still there more than 2... More

We made reservations for this tour from Canyon Village many months in advance. We were doing the entire Loop Road, but did not plan to drive out to the Lamar Valley, so we invested in the "Wake Up to Wildlife Tour" to cover that base. The yellow bus picked us up at Canyon Village at 6:15 for what was supposed... More

We knew we would have been able to do this drive ourselves, but chose to let someone else deal with winter road conditions. Tour started late, seemed a bit disorganized until the drivers (who are also the guides) showed up. Assumption that separate bookings with the same last name was one family, perhaps presumptuous, but not a big deal. Not... More
