This is a beautiful trail - 328 steps and some switchbacks, so it's not as crowded as the overlook across the canyon. It's a great place to stretch your legs and maybe get in some huffing and puffing after sitting in a vehicle.

I am unsure if this is the place, however, along the water, at a point where the river gets wider and quieter, there were people swimming. Definitely not in the white, fierce falls themselves, but the point is that the waters seem clean and friendly...More

There are so many wonderful things to do and see in the Yellowstone Nat'l Park, but you should definitely allow some time for the falls. We have two young children (5 and 8) and we spent about an hour hiking down and back up to...More

The photos are not as spectacular as it is in real life. This is a must visit. You feel like you are in Paradise here. This is definitely a must do. I enjoyed the river falls more than they geysers.

The upper falls is conveniently close to lower falls, so see both on the same day. Nice trails to see both.

You can see the falls from several places along the north or south rim drives. The best place to experience the falls is from the brink. There is a large parking area, but plan to arrive early or later in the day, as the lot...More

This place is stunning. Artist Point involves a short walk through a beautiful canyon, but as soon as you turn a corner and get your first glimpse of the falls and the river, it will take your breath away.

Great views from the road stops, but hard to understand the scale from so far away. Still it is one of the must do items when visiting Yellowstone National Park.

the falls are beautiful, we only wish that we were able to get up closer to them or maybe have a view from the top

Get to the parking lots early if you want to avoid having to wait for a spot to open up. Before 9am is best.
