Yellowstone Lake is a large lake with fishing and water sports available. There are several hotels on the lake, from very modest luxurious. There are actual thermal features on one end of lake which are worth seeing.

This lake is huge! We got wonderful pictures of the sunset and sunrise. We also went out at night to see the stars. They were beautiful.

I have only had the experience of driving along the lake and enjoying the beauty and serenity of its sparkling waters in October. The drive is very relaxing and has many picturesque photo opportunities of the lake and wildlife. A very memorable experience.

Magnificent huge lake. I wish I brought my inflatable kayak to check the hidden gems of this lake. Just beautiful, nothing more can be said.

I was fairly unlucky when I stayed here with the clouds and snow but even then the view was great across the lake. Massive lake and hotel and lodges nearby are just wonderful.

As others have said, it may be difficult to get there, but if you can (and tough it out), I suspect it would be really beautiful. No waterfalls, I imagine.
