We stopped in here on Mother's Day 2017 - after a beautiful day of walking on the Ludovico Sculpture Trail & some geocaching. The museum is housed w/ the Seneca Falls Visitor Center on the main thoroughfare. It was very informative - nice exhibits. We were very surprised at how many businesses used to be based in Seneca Falls!! The... More

This free museum was chock-full of great things to see and learn, from history of the town/canal, to Overall history of Finger Lakes, to manufacturing history of local industries-- the water pump, ruler factory and much more. Women's rights museum and hall of fame are across the street. This is right on the main street. And the man at the... More

This museum is small, but has much to offer. It is really informative and laid out very well. You'll be amazed at some of the information it provides.

This is a pleasant stop when walking around downtown Seneca Falls (Bedford Falls - from It's A Wonderful Life). The displays are informative and well laid out and the staff are very helpful!

People like me, who have never been to the Finger Lakes Region, will be impressed. Still an active railroad area. The canals are now traveled by locs, Wonderful 1800 daily life articles are on display. Really enjoyed the festive Gingerbread House Competition Display during the IAWL 70th anniversary weekend.

The exhibits have been well-researched, and documented with many historical photographs. Seneca Falls is unique for its place in women's history and equal rights movements, but it is typical in its place... More

This museum is in the town's visitor center. It explains much about the fascinating history of the Erie and other canals, which are still in use today. No admission charge, helpful staff. It has 3 floors, the lowest allows you to go out to the canal behind the building.
