Great venue ! Love the small, intimate setting. We had seats and loved the show. Can't believe they get away with selling you a $5 cup to use if you are in the paid seats - rip off. Kept my money and spent it elsewhere.

There is nothing better than relaxing on the lawn to enjoy a great performance...esp. with food and perhaps some wine in hand, that you brought to the park with you, or bought on site. Maybe afterwards, you go inside at your seats, Or stay outside,...More

Been going to Wolf Trap and sitting on the lawn for 20+ years. While the lawn is a great place to picnic and relax with friends, you could barely see the performers even with binoculars. On a recent visit to see David Crosby and Alison...More

Outdoor performing arts venue - very good for seeing musical acts. Nice seating area but also very nice lawn setting on a hillside that lends an intimate atmosphere. Very good for all sorts - families, young people. Folks often bring blankets, food, drinks and have...More

My partner Gil and I love to go to the Wolf Trap, have dinner at Ovations and catch a show of our favorite performers. Our last experience however - John Prine show —was full of mixed feelings . First the new Ovations caterer is mediocre...More

Recently attended John Prine concert at the Filene Center and could not have enjoyed the evening more. We had seats in the upper boxes (great if it happens to rain) and the view and sound quality were outstanding. Ushers were fabulous and all had smiles...More

Amazing night at the Barns, sold out yet small crowd. No problem parking. The musicians were sensational. The acoustics in a 1700 barn were just as the musicians intent. Well worth it!!!

Had the opportunity to fly in from Atlanta to Wash DC to take my 16-year-old daughter and her best friend to the Trap to see their heart-throb, Aaron Tveit. While we were in the back row, the venue is small enough such that literally every...More

There are many places to see concerts in and around DC, Wolf Trap being one - and while the facility is wonderful, parking is so terrible that I sometimes think twice before ordering tickets there. Be sure to give yourself loads of extra time on...More

Had the chance to see a traveling band here. I had never been to the Barns before. When I was ordering tickets I didn't know if I should go for floor seats or for balcony. First, even the last row is closer than you'll get...More

Not sure about a buffet but you can picknick on the grass. Try to get there early for a good spot. Ps- bring your own adult beverages as theirs cost a fortune!

We have not had any issue with mosquitoes, but perhaps take repellant, just in case. It is wonderful there, that noone judges your attire. You can go casual as you like or dress up. You see a little of both. I do suggest... More
